What is this medication?
VITAMIN B2 (VAHY tuh min B2), or RIBOFLAVIN (rahy boh FLEY vin), prevents and treats low riboflavin levels in your body. Riboflavin (vitamin B2) plays an important role in maintaining the health of your blood cells, brain, skin, and digestive tract.
This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.
What should I tell my care team before I take this medication?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
- Health issues you have now or have had in the past
- An unusual or allergic reaction to any medication, supplement, food, dye, or preservative
- Pregnant or trying to get pregnant
- Breastfeeding
How should I use this medication?
Take this supplement as directed on the label. Do not take it more often than recommended. Talk to your care team if you take other medications or supplements.
Talk to your care team before giving supplements to a child. Special care may be needed.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
