Lavender Lemonade Recipe
Simple to make and so very refreshing

Sometimes, you just get tired of plain old water. Why not spruce things up with something that not only quenches your thirst but also wakes up your taste buds? We’ve got you covered with our lavender lemonade.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons dry lavender
- 2 tablespoons raw honey
- 2 large lemons, juiced
- 1 cup ice (optional)
Directions
- Place the water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the lavender and reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in honey. (It’s as though you’re making tea.)
- Cool the lavender mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours to bring out deeper lavender flavors. Strain the liquid into a pitcher and discard the lavender. Add the lemon juice and stir to combine.
- Pour lemonade into four glasses and serve with ice, if desired.
- Store in refrigerator for a few days but best enjoyed fresh and chilled.
Ingredient health benefits
- Lavender: The soothing effects of this time-honored herb are no secret. Lavender may help you sleep by boosting your melatonin levels. And its ability to calm the mind might also help with anxiety and depression, lower your blood pressure and improve your overall mood.
- Honey: It may be sweet, but the benefits are even sweeter! Honey is rich in certain types of antioxidants called polyphenols and flavonoids. These natural compounds lower damaging inflammation, fight harmful little free radicals and support your heart and brain. And that’s not all! Because of these properties, consuming honey hasn’t been linked to unwanted inflammation in the way its ultra-processed alternative has.
- Lemons: When it comes to tartness and nutrition, these citruses sure pack a punch! Lemons are full of vitamin C and vitamin A, which help lower inflammation and promote the health of your eyes and immune system. And vitamin D, calcium and magnesium support your bones so they can support you. You may be surprised to learn that lemons also have a bit of potassium to help regulate your blood pressure!
