1 cup sauerkraut
Whole wheat buns (optional)
2 tablespoons inexpensive mustard (such as spicy brown or coarse-grained)

Directions

  1. Simmer hot dogs in water with sauerkraut until heated through, about 5 minutes.
  2. Drain; serve with mustard (with or without buns).
